Khalid Mahmood MPKhalid Mahmood represents the Birmingham Perry Barr constituency, since he won the election with a majority of over eight thousand votes. His earlier political career includes being a member of the Birmingham City Council, as well as Chair of Race Relations.

Mr Mahmood is also a member of the AEEU, the Socialist Health Association, as well as a National Member of Labour Finance and Industry Group.
